Valentines card printables of titanic proportions!

So i made pretty cards you can print off, just as a bit of stuff, i love messing with my imaging software :)

I'm not very good with the pink hearts and soppy girlyness, so this was hard to do it and make it girly.
So we have the number 1 card, which is pink and girly, and not too bad...
They're all in A4 , i think, well that's what i made them to!

Just simple and pink, nothing special! click the link and you should be able to download the file, which we love.

Numbero two...
i love this one, its more for couples that don't get to see each either so much. Which i guess is why i like it, cryyyyyyyy to myself....

anyway, i think its pretty, and sweet and simple.

Instead of an in your face valentines car, i think its very understated, leaving you to write your message inside rather than all over the cover.

Third one. Two words, mega cute.

Do you like owls? and love? WELL HERE WE GO....
BOTH OF THEM TOGETHER!
Unfortunately i can't find the link to credit the cute owl design! So if you see this and it's yours I'm sorry i cant find you!
Though i still believe nobody reads what i ramble on about....
ANYWAY

So that's my short blog for today, i want to do some painting and drawing so you might get another one soon of some of my doodles :)
You know what I'm like though, disorganised and rubbish. I need to make a blog planner and actually follow a schedule!

So funny picture time....what shall we do today....lets see.

"My Heart Will Go On" is Now Stuck in Your Head

Titanic puns....funny :)

Fabric Paint, Hot glue and a warm fire!

Hellloooooooo blogworld!
It's sunday, and it'd cold. The world is full of snow and I'm trying to avoid it in front of the fire.
You'll see all my pictures with me in front of the fire, because it's cold! and i mean, toe dropping off cold.

So i ordered some fabric and some fabric paint from eBay, and just needed to find a design i wanted to do.

I saw a really nice picture on the interwebs but it just wasn't for me, that's until i opened up my image editing software and made it for me! A bit of colour editing, contrast messing and posterising made it something i like!
Make sure your fabric covers over your canvas! i didn't really i just guessed and it nearly didn't fit!

After printing it out i had to draw it onto my canvas, which took awhile and i didn't actually follow most of the picture! To be able to see it through the fabric i had to go over it all with a dark colour, and then a darker colour coz i didn't think about it properly!

So i sellotaped the fabric to the canvas and i painted all the edges of the flowers, then filled them in. I'm not going to lie, this really took a loooooooooooong time. as well as trying to see through the fabric and not get my hand in the paint. So i filled it all in then went over it all because it needs to be a heavy coat.

I love these colours, they are brilliant :)
AND FOR ONCE i actually like something I've done.
which is new, coz i literally hate everything i paint or draw.

After you've painted it takes forever to dry. The bottle says 2 whole days. WHO CAN WAIT THAT LONG?!
So after i lost all my patience went, it was finally time to wash the fabric YAYAYAYAY! So don't boil the crap out of it, wash it on a friendly wash, or hand wash it like i did (i don't have a choice i don't have a washer.)
Then you have to let it hang dry, don't put it in a dryer.
Lucky for me i have a nice hot fire to speed things up for me ;) it's not really cheating...i did hang it...

So it's all dry now and its time to iron it all pretty like! After it's all straight with no kinks or creases in its time to glue it all together. Turn on your glue gun so it's heats up nicely. Lay out the fabric in the position it needs to go and the canvas on top of it. Because i decided i was drawing the pattern on the canvas i needed to match them up properly so it didn't look silly!

First thing to do is glue all the corners in, and not to burn your fingers...i did...twice.
Next is to fold in the flaps, it's sort of like harder present wrapping, when they don't meet.
and the next series of flaps so that all the material is folded and glued in place, then go over any bits where its not fastened down properly!

If you want to attach some string on so you can hang it then just glue it into place with the hot glue gun!

And there you go, a lovely finished painting on a stupid red wall that needs to be green, no that's not where it's staying, that's the only place i have a hook!!

You know, thank god for spell check because i can't spell attached for the life in me, i always put an extra t in there. If there was no spell check then there would be alot of words with extra letter in....

SOOOOOOO
it's funny picture time i think? i should really plan these picture before i write it, but i don't because as usual everything is done in the wrong order with me. if i planned it i could come up with some great paragraph about how i found it, but no.
I type funny pictures into google and go for it!
NOW YOU KNOW MY SECRET!
so yeah....picture....

And the Infinite Sadness?

hehehe i love it!!

Byes!!

Love, Love songs and aggression relief!

Helllooooo blogworld!
so I'm really quite happy this week, yesterday i was very happy, i have no idea why..
just happiness yay!
spread it onnnnnnnnn!!

So this week, i found my 'love' sign, and decided I'm going to decorate it all pretty :)

So i needed something to decorate it with....something meaningful or something crap like that..
I ask Le boyfriend if we have a song, we have no song. So i find love songs i actually like, sung by Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble (I LOVE YOU MR BUBBLE) and Eva Cassidy.
I put them into a lovely typewriter font, which Ive used alot in lots of things lately, i think its cool okay :)
The main words, or title words i guess in the songs i put in bold red so that i would see which songs are where. Now i know what songs i 'love' so to speak.

So after printing out like 3 sheets of the musicy goodness, i had to cut them up  into strips, i tried to do it in paragraphs or bits that made sense. Some didn't but that's okay :)

I used spray adhesive at first to glue the paper to the wood, but it was just too watery and tore the paper sometimes, then i had the brainwave of combining PVA and spray adhesive. This made a super sticky glue that also smelled pretty :)
Call me Glue Girl!

so after doing a few, i quickly got bored of gluing, I'm not going to lie....though i kept on and kept gluing, so the front looked really pretty!!

I tried to do the same on the back but i didn't want it overlapping the front, so i drew around the 'love' to make a template for the back, i just cut it a big shorter so that there was still some words to go over the corners...

Then i had to let it dry, now i have a wood burning fire so i put it on the surround and it was dry in no time :)
This is the pretty 'Love' at the end!

i think it's pretty :) I'm going to get more, maybe do some glittery ones or something? not sure, i know Helen wants one.Hello Helen, stop reading this from your bed....It's not bedtime reading to keep you amused!! :)

Now next on my list, I've been decorating my living room because i don't like it, its dark and red and depresses me.
I don't want to be depressed.
That might be why i feel happier this week, and I'm actually sitting here.
ITS LIKE SUNSHINE INSIDE THE ROOM ITS SO BRIGHT!

If i have one, here's a before:
In some of the photos above you can see some of the horrible wallpaper i hate too :) i forgot to take a pic of that...you should know me by now never to take a picture first...

and then a better one of a painted over the horrible reds :) just need the green paint!!

It's not properly finished, i need some green paint to do the chimney breast, and my material to come so i can do a fabric painting..
I demand it to be pretty and fresh when I'm done.

ALSO IN MORE NEWS
(imagine me shuffling paper like a newsreader)
I got to stamp some metal today, and make a few things, turns out its harder to stamp in the right place!
though the 1 pound hammer is great for aggression relief :)
BANG BANG BANG BANG
a few hundred times, much better :D

Aren't they so pretty! First one says Amy Frances, i messed up on the e and the s though...and a pretty I love you! They're done out of bottle tops :)

So i don't know what i want to end on today...
maybe I'll find a cute picture, or something funny..
who knows!! we'll have to see what i find..

Dream Big

It's a horse :) with a cone on it's head :)
sue me, i like it!!

So im cheating today!

I'm sorry blogworld, but i haven't made anything for awhile I've just been busy!
However i will put some pics up of things i have done! :)
So today is a bit of what i want to do, what I've seen that i like, and things that you should be aware of in the world!!
After sorting out my Pinterest boards i have found a few things i am definitely going to be making, maybe as gifts or things to sell, who knows!

hot glue printsTurn wine glasses into lamps! What a great idea!

1. Wine glass candles
These are so cool, and actually i love them. Great for when summer comes around for garden parties and BBQs, and easy to make. Part time candles really! Though i have to get my head around doing the shades for them, but i think i could could up with something different :)

2. Glass paintings!
Using a large piece of glass and some silicone, why would you not want to make these??
They could literally be in any design, and colour, any size!!
To be honest you could even make jewellery out of them if you were brilliant enough!!

Now i realise I'm just telling you things you can make yourself, and therefore there's not much point in me doing them, but i want everyone to have fun and have nice things :) these are just random but i really have a passion for organising things at the moment!

Well someone has to try and organise my brain, if I'm honest i want your sympathy.
I'm far too easy distracted and pleased!

Things i need in life:
Pin boards, because i have none and thousands of bits of paper!!
Meal organisers, to make sure i actually eat during the day!
Shopping lists, that i don't have to write every time :)
A letter tray!! again for thousands of bis of paper! but a pretty one i can spray paint hehe

So that leaves things you should be aware of in the world?
Well this is most important!
And crucial...

Cutee!!!!!!!!!

you tell me that isn't important!!
SO BLOODY CUTE!!
If you have to buy me one, i won't mind ;)

Though really if you do have a dog(s), and you like to pamper him/her/them then there's a new company which does lovely paw balms, heat balms and also nose balms!
They make all natural products, handmade and treated with so much care that you know thy just want to do things for dog owners and their dogs.
Nothing in the products will harm your dogs, and many of them will like it, the paw balm even has healing properties!!
They have a website shop and also have an AmazonUK shop so take a look!
They're even coming up with doggie shampoo bars, for that extra bit of luxury!
Can't g wrong can it?
take a look! over at K9Aroma, they have twitter too!

What else do i have to say today? not much my ramblings have been cut short by a very low battery!
And you know how i like to ramble on so you can imagine how fast I'm typing right now to make sure i get it all written!

maybe I'll just leave with a nice looking picture? or something funny? OOH i know, 'll give you a gingerbread recipe :) everyone loves gingerbread, and if you don't you are wrong....

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine,
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 1 slightly beaten egg
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
Place all the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir to blend together :)
Mix in 1/2 cup softened butter and 3/4 cup of molasses and a beaten egg. If you're into chewy biscuits (i am i am i am) then add the tablespoon of vinegar, this will make the dough hard to use to make sure you get your hands dirty! Cover it and put it in the fridge for an hour or so, then it can relax.
Preheat the oven to 180'c,and roll the dough to the thickness you want, usually around1/4 inch thick on a lightly floured surface to prevent sticking! Cut the shapes that you want and put onto a greaseproof lined baking tray, and into the warmed oven! make for around 10 Min's, giving a check to make sure they may be done around 8 Min's!
Take them out, let them cool and then decorate them into loveliness!!

GINGERBREAAAAAAAAAAAAD

that's all folks and I'm just about finished with so little battery! BYEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Happy new year and all that shizz! Make your own bath salts!

Hello blogworld! Hope you all had a nice new year :)

Now I've no idea what to blog about today and to be honest I'm just gonna make it up :) so I'm gonna talk about some of my Christmas pressies first, that i loveeeeeeeee!

Numbero Uno just happens to be my very lovely Cath Kidston book :)
It's called make! and it sooooo coooooool.

And comes with a free bag, thread and pencil, it also gives you free templates so that you can decorate your bad if you have some fabric!

I have nooooo idea what I'm going to do with mine, there are too many options!

i have so many things i want to make now!!

Numbero two (can't remember two in Italian right now) is my doodle book!
I LOVE THIS BOOK.

doodling is my most favourite thing ever if I'm honest, it even tells you what to draw, which is brilliant because I'm rubbish at thinking up some of my drawings.

Though it is far too pretty for me to even draw in at the moment...I'll get up the courage to mucky up the clean white pages.
I even bought some new colouring pencils for it, and turns out they're the ones you can paint with. winner!

If i can be bothered going downstairs you may see a picture of them too, but if not, then im still sat cross legged on my bed!
I've had a busy day don't hate!

what else can i talk about nowww.....well i would have pictures of the presents i made and gave out, but as its me, and I'm a bit lapse I've forgotten to take pictures of them! Hopefully the next post i will actually have them in, and tells you how they're made.

I can however tell you how to make bath salts! though i have no pictures of it as it was quite messy, but hopefully i might make more in the future and post some up. YES I'M RUBBISH WITH TAKING PICTURES!

So the things you need are:
Epsom salts , as much as you want to make
An essential oil of your choice, i used Lavender, Orange and Bergamot (not all at the same time)
Food colouring to give it some colour, use as much as you think to make the colour you want!

Now, you put the amount of salts you want into a plastic bag, sort of similar to a small sandwich bag(as it gets rather messy) then a few drops of your essential oil, as much as you want for your chosen smell, and the colouring too.
Now you need to massage the oil and colour into the salt until it all turns one even colour.
After it's all evenly mixed what you need to do is let the salt dry out, so flatten the salt in the bag as much as you can and make sure the air can get in when you lay it flat, this will dry it out in no time.

And there you go, that's your bath salts made, cheap and easy :)

WOO BATH TIME!

It's not really, but i wish it was...

That's all for now really folks, though if i find a funny Internet picture then I'm gonna post it :)
Byes!
